Sarah Palin
The politician Sarah Palin was born February 11, 1964, in Sandpoint, Idaho. She was named, and made, the first govern of Alaska December 4, 2006. She was the third of four children. She had two sisters and one brother. When Sarah was a small infant her family relocated to Alaska, where her father found better teaching jobs. Little Sarah played the flute when she was in middle school and in her school band at Wasilla High School.
Since she is a very beautiful women she won the Miss Wasilla pageant, but only one third in the Miss Alaska pageant. For the Miss Alaska pageant she played the flute in the talent part. She also won college and Miss congeniality awards. She attended college at Hawaii Pacific University, North Idaho College, University of Idaho, and Matanuska-Sustina College. Shortly after graduating college she became a sports caster, news reporter, and Anchorage women.
On August 29, 1988, she got back together with her high school sweetheart, Todd Palin, and got married. To fulfill her parents happiness she had what she called, "A big white wedding." A few months after getting married she helped Todd with his Commercial Fishing business. In 1992 she won the Wasilla City council with 530 votes, while the person she was against only got 310 votes. In 1995 she got reelected with 413, while the other person only had 185.
In 1996 she made the move to become president and won with a large number of 651 votes. A couple of years later she took a step up and became governor of Alaska. A little after this point her seventeen year old daughter had become pregnant with her first child. In 2008 she ran as vice president with John McCain against Obama, but lost. In 2010 she got a show on the Discovery Channel called
Sarah Palin's Alaska. Then in 2009 she realized her book that seemed to fly of the shelves of book stores everywhere. Her book was about her political life and stayed number one for weeks.
Palin is getting ready to run for the 2012 president. She plans to be the first women president of the United States. Will she become the first female president? Well, we will just have to wait till 2012 to find that out. Sarah has a big goal ahead of her, with her people of Alaska and Hawaii cheering her on, and many other Americans. All I can say is i can't wait to see what will happen in 2012.
